Ulrike Asamer is a metal artist and founder of cannulism, which are sculptures and installations made of cannulas, medical instrument used to insert and administer medication into veins.She describes medicine and culture as the two essential columns in humanity.She is a trained Nurse anesthesiologist and studied space and design strategies at the University of Art and industrial Design in Linz, Austria. In her artwork she links her expertise and experiences as she designs based on the sociocultural questions that enjoy her attentions.
