Adelphe
"Adelphe" immerses us in the heart of a harmonious union between animated visuals, crafted by artificial intelligence, and a profoundly resonant musical composition. Célin Jiang seizes upon these novel forms of creation as an inexhaustible wellspring of artistic potential. Her perspective, shaped by a cyberfeminist and decolonial sensibility, envisions her artistic practice as a laboratory-observatory dedicated to exploring the concept of naturalisation, artificiality, and the intricate entanglements between the living and the inanimate.
The work astutely examines the hybridization of the human and the non-human, dissecting the interpretive blur between nature and technology. In deep contemplation, Célin Jiang invites us to meditate on how our bodies, bearing multiple legacies, intertwine with digital technologies in an ongoing dance of embodiment and transformation. Hybridity, as a catalytic force, emerges as the heart of this creation, exploring the intricacies of transculturality and our shared imaginaries. "Adelphe" plunges us into the depths of our ever-changing world, unveiling a polymorphic reality tinged with ancient mythologies and notions of genesis.
