Rainbow 1 and Rainbow 2

Francesca Pazzagli was born in Cattolica in 1990. In 2009, she graduated from the A. Serpieri Art High School in Viserba. The common thread in these two works is the presenceof basic and humble materials (hay, earth, water) essential for life on this planet. The artist wanted to highlight elements that are often overlooked and taken for granted in our daily lives, thus going unnoticed. The Materials featured in these works evoke a rural, countryside setting and a life in harmony with nature and its inhabitants. In both installations, the artist has recreated the phenomenon of light refraction, creating a rainbow that shines above the artwork itself. When we see a rainbow in nature, it always fills us with wonder and amazement. We momentarily pause our ceaseless daily activities and become enchanted by the sight. In this case, the rainbow's presence compels us to also focus on the underlying elements, which may seem less interesting at first glance. Each element, presented in its essence, is important and indispensable. It's a journey back to the origins to breathe new life and significance into what already exists. The common thread between the two works is the presence of poor materials (hay, earth, water) and essential for life on this planet.
