Šeherzada Ahmetovic

President, International Women’s Biennale

Born in Bosnia, Šeherzada Ahmetović studied at the E. and U. Nordio Art High School in Trieste, focusing on Architecture and Design, before continuing her academic journey in Architecture between the University of Trieste and a study period in Stuttgart.

In 2016, she began her professional career at the studio of Barbara Fornasir. After qualifying as an architect in 2017, she founded her own architecture practice in 2018, working independently and collaborating with multidisciplinary studios as both an architect and project manager.

Since 2017, she has been involved with the International Women’s Biennale, managing its organizational side. She became President in 2019, playing a decisive role in shaping the curatorial direction and identity of BID, while also contributing to exhibition design and visual communication for each edition.

Vittoria Beltrame

Independent Curator, Art Consultant, and Writer

Vittoria Beltrame is an independent curator based between London and Milan. Her academic background spans marketing, management, and visual arts. After earning a degree in Marketing and Management from Queen Mary University of London, she completed an MSc in Art, Law, and Business at Christie’s Education.

She has gained experience in renowned international settings, including Mucciaccia Gallery, Eden Fine Art, and the Post-War and Contemporary Art department at Christie’s London.

Since 2022, she has worked as a freelance curator, organizing exhibitions for both emerging and established artists in independent spaces and prestigious galleries such as The Bomb Factory, Great Western Studios, Donya Gallery, and J/M Gallery.
Her exhibitions and projects have been featured in Artnet, Artlyst, ArtReview, ANSA, BBC London Radio, Culture Magazine, and the Financial Times.

Vittoria combines a multidisciplinary curatorial approach with strong communication and strategic insight. She is also the founder of Art For Thought, a monthly blog highlighting key exhibitions in the London art scene.

Francesca Carmellino

Consultant, Cultural Producer, Project & Resident  manager

Francesca Carmellino, born in Milan, studied between Venice, Berlin, and Switzerland, where she completed her education in Art Economics.

After gaining experience in contemporary art galleries, she shifted her focus to cultural project development, designing initiatives that prioritize dialogue among artists, institutions, and communities.

In 2021, she founded Studio Theo, an agency that supports artists in their professional growth and collaborates with cultural organizations on event production and project design.

Her work spans curatorship, strategic consultancy, and executive production, with a continuous focus on research processes and the sustainability of artistic practices.

Marlene Elvira Steinz

Art Historian, Curator, and Lecturer

Marlene Elvira Steinz is an Austrian art historian, curator, and lecturer with an interdisciplinary academic background in art, philosophy, archaeology, and comparative religious studies. A graduate of the University of Vienna, she is currently pursuing a PhD in Art Theory and History at the Katholische Privat-Universität Linz.

Since 2012, she has worked as an independent curator and art consultant in Austria and abroad, collaborating with artists, museums, and private collectors.

From 2018 to 2020, she served as curator and general coordinator at the Museum Angerlehner, where she helped shape the artistic program and oversee integrated museum operations.

Her curatorial approach blends academic expertise with practical skills and strategic vision. She is also active in publishing, authoring critical texts and exhibition catalogues on artists such as Arnulf Rainer and Juan Olivares.

She has lectured at institutions including the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna and regularly speaks at interdisciplinary conferences across Austria.

Antonella Trotta

Editorial Curator and Cultural Project Manager

Antonella Trotta defines herself as an art connector, building networks between artists, publishers, institutions, and writers to facilitate the organization and dissemination of artistic projects.

With a background in contemporary art history and experience as a gallerist, she currently balances her work as an editor for contemporary art publications with curatorial project management.

She has led notable editorial and exhibition projects across Paris, Rome, Milan, Lisbon, and Geneva, collaborating with artists such as Nan Goldin, Fabienne Verdier, Samantha McEwen, Roger Ballen, Barthélémy Toguo, Omar Victor Diop, Vivianne van Singer, and Loris Cecchini.

Recent projects include Loving, Ils S’aiment at the Musée Rath in Geneva (2023), and Roger Ballen’s double solo show at the Mattatoio and Villa Medici in Rome (2025).

Editorially, she has curated and coordinated major publications such as Due Qui / To Hear by Massimo Bartolini (2024), Jaime Fernandes, edited by João Pedro Frois (2024), Passages des Témoins pour Luciano Fabro (2022), Omar Victor Diop (2021), Maria Lai – Legarsi alla Montagna (2021), and Loving – A Photographic History (2020).

A new monograph on Loris Cecchini is currently in production.
